You're the avo to my toast

Just by reading the headline, you are probably already rolling your eyes at another Avocado Toast recipe. I am not going to tell you that this is a life changing recipe. I love avocado and smoke salmon so much that I eat this more times a week that I like to admit . They are delicious when put together. I always have avocado on hand so might as well put it to good use. I've used Texas Toast, Brooklyn Rye Bread, Everything Bagel but you can always ANY kind of bread you'd like. What really brings the flavors together is the Furikake -which is a dried mixed seasoning sprinkled over rice for added flavor. This variety is simple and delicious made of sesame seeds, seaweed flakes, salt and sugar only. Contains no bonito fish flakes- sprinkled at the end. Stop reading and go make yourself one. Happy Eating!

    Ingredients

    One slice of Texas Toast

    One small hass avocado

    Juice from half a lime

    ¼ tbsp of garlic

    1 tbsp of Furikake

6 oz of Smoked Salmon ( I used Vita brand)

    Salt/Pepper to taste

    Instructions

Cut the avocado in chunks and place in a bowl. I use a potato masher to mash it until  its thick enough, but leaving chunk pieces of the avocado. Mix the garlic, half of the Furikake and lime juice. Salt/pepper to taste.

In a hot griddle toast the bread until brown. Wait until it cools off to spread avocado mixture. Top with smoked salmon and the other half of Furikake seasoning.

    Enjoy!
