This is my take on this classic dish. Using MSC Certified Sustainable canned Clams and Clam juice, to make this easy clam chowder in under 30 minutes.

    CLAM CHOWDER

    It's soup and chowder SEA-son!!

I am a fan a seafood and I am excited to share my take on this classic dish. I used bumblebeefoods mscbluefish labeled canned clams and all natural clam juice.

Knowing where the seafood I consume it's important to me. #MSCbluefish label means that your seafood purchase is good for the oceans because it's wild, sustainable, and traceable back to a certified fishery.

This recipe for two is easy and affordable without sacrificing flavor and quality. I kept the ingredient costs under $25 (Check here for the complete list cost). It's a winner dinner for you and the oceans too.

    CLAM CHOWDER INGREDIENTS

**See the Recipe Card Below for complete measurements**

    • Canned Clams - I am using MSC Certified Sustainable Canned clams.
    • Clam Juice - This clam juice is MSC Certified. It is specified in the label as sustainable.
    • Heavy Cream - This will thicken the broth.
    • Vegetable Broth - Organic Better than Bullion is my go to paste for broth.
    • Whole Milk - use full fall whole milk.
    • Butter - Kerrigold grass-fed butter is my favorite to use in recipes.
    • Sazón Seasoning - I like to add sazon to give this Clam Chowder a Puerto Rican flair. Make it at home using my Sazon recipe.
    • Shallots - I prefer shallots over onions for their subtle flavor.
    • Thyme - use fresh thyme instead of dried.
    • Red Potatoes - I love to use red potatoes in chowders and soups because they cook fast and add a hint of creaminess.
    • Salt + Pepper to taste - we all have different tastes/palates, so I always recommend seasoning to taste.
    • Sourdough Bread Bowls - Sam's and Walmart usually carry this type of bread bowls.
