Halloween is my favorite holiday and I am always creating fun things for the spooky season. This is one of my favorites activities to share with the kiddos. I will show you how to make an easy Halloween Charcuterie board-Spooky Grazing Board!

What Makes a Great Charcuterie Board?

Making a charcuterie board is fun. You can get your significant other or your kiddos to help you put it together. Here are other Charcuterie Boards I have made:

    • Fall Harvest Board
    • Sweet and Savory board
    • Christmas Board
    • Valentine's Day Sweet and Savory Board

What makes a great board is the quality and variety of items you put in it.

I went to my favorite place Trader Joe's to gather all the items needed to make this easy Halloween charcuterie board. Aldi also has a great selection to make a great charcuterie board.

If you have an Aldi in your area, you can find a variety of cheeses and meats for a great price. I would make a board for twenty five dollars and we'd still have enough to make a second board the next day.

For this board I used a mix of cheeses, meats and Pumpkin Spice flavored seasonal items.

Here is what you will need to make this Halloween Charcuterie Board:

    Halloween Charcuterie Board ingredients

**See the Recipe Card Below for detailed quantities**

A wood or metal board - I used the coffin bread board that I had it custom made from an Etsy Shop. I have also used this Oversized Carved Wood Tray from Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia in the past or you can use a regular baking sheet, and cutting board.

Cheese Cutting set - I use this Oneida 4 pc set, you can get it at Kohl's and these cute pumpkin spoons from Lively Ghosts.

Mini Sauce Bowls - Any small condiment bowl or mini mason jars would work too.

Meats - Prosciutto, salami & Pastrami Style Salmon.

Cheeses - Shiraz Infused cheese, Trio of Iberico, Manchego and Goat cheese, Extra Creamy Brie.

Crackers - Pumpkin Flavored Crackers, Water crackers.

Fruit - I used Black Figs, Honeycrisp and Grannysmith Apples (squeeze lemon on the slices to prevent them from turning brown), blueberries, dried appricots, dried persimmons. I like to add Olives stuffed with truffle cheese (while I am not a fan of olives my husband loves them).

Spreads/Sauces - I used Spicy Habanero Jelly and Fig Jam. I have used Raspberry

Candy - Adding Seasonal M&Ms, Candy Corn, Ghost Peeps.

Pro Tip: cut the Brie in a coffin shape to add spooky effect to your board

Spooky Things to add to your Halloween Charcuterie Board!

To make it Halloween themed, I went to the Target and got a couple of decorations and some I already had from previous years. These are the items I got:

Skulls - These were in the dollar area and you can use them for drinks too.

Pumpkins - These pumpkins came in a pack of 4 for $3

Spiders - I got two different sizes of spiders, small and medium.

Skeleton Hand - I love adding this one because it gives you the idea that there is someone reaching for the board.

Misc - To give it a gothic look under the board I used Creepy Cloth and a Black candle.

I used a champagne flute. Start by adding the salami slices around the opening of the glass (just like the picture above). Add enough Salami to make a big rose. Flip it over on the board and you will have the salami rose! (see the pictures above)

    Frequent Asked Questions

What can I pair the Spooky Board with?

I paired the board with a dry wine Cava from Trader Joe's as well. You can use Prosecco or semi sweet wine. If you prefer a non alcoholic beverage sparkling Italian Soda or Non Alcoholic wine.

How can I make a board that is affordable?

I got you! I always buy all the meats and cheeses at Trader Joe's. Aldi has a great selection where I have made a board for about 30 dollars, and still have cheese and meats left for a second one.

I made a board last year where I added: Maple Popcorn, Cheese Puffs, Reeses Pieces, Glowing Kit Kats, Halloween Oreos or TJ's JoJos, Candy Corn, Halloween Peeps, Halloween M&Ms, Candy Eyeballs and bones, Pumpkin Spice pretzels.
