What you will need to make this Festive Holiday Charcuterie Board
**See the Recipe Card Below for complete measurements**
Everything I used to make this board is from Trader Joe's. TJ's has the best cheeses, meats, crackers and fruits for the price. Aldi also has a great selection to create your board. You can create a whole board for about 30 dollars that will feed 6 people.
Cheese - There are so many kind of cheeses that you can use in a board. My favorites are Brie, Shiraz flavored Cheese, cheese trio (Iberico, Manchego and Goat Cheeses).
Meats - My go to meats in a board are Prosciutto, Capicola, Salami and Soppressata. You can always omit the meats if that is your preference.
Fruits – Because I wanted to keep everything Festive and Holiday themed, I used red grapes, cranberries and pomegranate seeds.
Crackers/Cookies – La Panzanella are my got to in my boards. Here I also used Trader Joe’s Beet and Fig crackers, they are delicious!
Sauces/Jams – For other boards I have used Fig butter and berry jam but in this board I used cranberry jam and honey.
Misc - I added cheese truffle stuffed olives.
Putting together the Festive Holiday Charcuterie Board
- Any board that you have would work. The board the I used is from the Hearth and Hand from Magnolia. You can find it at Target.
- Before beginning assembling the board put the brie cheese in the freezer for about 10 minutes, you want the cheese a bit firm.
- Pour the honey and fig in small mason jars. Like these 4 oz mason jars. You can also use the mini masons for the gherkins. Then Place them in the board, spacing them out.
- Separate you meats and fold your salami in fours making it ruffle. Start adding the meats around the mini mason jars.
- Cool Tipz: Use a cookie cutter to cut the brie into a Christmas tree shape. This adds a cute touch of detail to your board. Place in middle on top of then cranberries.
- Add the cheeses around the board.
- Place crackers in between the cheeses and meats
- Fill In the empty spaces around the board with the fruits and nuts.
- Add the cheese knives, honey wand and forks.
Frequent Asked Questions:
Semi dry and dry wines pair well like Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. Bubbly wines work well like Prosecco, and Champagne.
My favorite cocktails to pair my boards with are: Blood Orange Margarita, Sparkling Apple Cider Bourbon Sangria, Fig Apple Cider Bourbon Smash, and Apple Cider Whiskey Smash.
Remember the point of putting a charcuterie board together is to have fun and you can add whatever you want, after all it is your board.
